It's not uncommon for families and kids to ponder the age-old question of what types of things will there be to do when we go on vacation. Now, let's say, just for conversation's sake, you're headed to Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Well, since “beach” is in the name of the town and the town is in Florida, there's a good chance there will be swimming and other water-related activities. But what about attractions? Where can the whole family go and not be bored out of their skulls? Excellent question. And an excellent answer is Adventure Landing. This top theme park is chock full of entertainment options. For starters, there's an 18-hole miniature golf course with waterfalls, mountains, and scenic landscaping. Then there's the Wacky Worm Roller Coaster, which is perfect for kids embarking on their very first coaster ride. Athletes will be drawn to the batting cages where you'll have your choice of hardball or softball, slow pitch or fast pitch.
One of the most visited sections of Adventure Landing is Shipwreck Island Water Park, home of Typhoon Lagoon, an enormous (500,000 gallons of water!) wave pool. There are also four Xtreme slides, including the Hydro Half-Pipe, the Rage, the Undertow, and the Eye of the Storm. Little ones will find Shipwreck Island Play Village's slides, water cannons, and waterfalls big fun. Everyone will surely want to try their luck at the arcade where more than 100 interactive games can lead to cool prizes and lots of smiling faces. Racing fans will want to hop in a go-kart at Adventure Speedway, a quarter mile track with lots of twists and turns and a leader board at the finish line that posts racing results. For a less hectic time, stop by the Teddy Bear Factory and build a cute and cuddly critter. And wrap up your day by unwrapping some treats at the Sweet Adventures Candy Shop.
